Morpeth Town Council
Alison Byard represents Morpeth Stobhill at Morpeth Town Council.
Alison says "I am originally from Northern Ireland but feel more at home now in Morpeth, having lived here for 21 years, first in Stobhill Farm and now in Stobhill Manor. I am a graduate of Leeds University and worked as a Customer Service Manager for a pharmaceutical firm in Newcastle until the birth of my son. I am now a stay at home Mum, married to Steve and with two children. My kids attended Stobhillgate First School and are now at Chantry Middle. I have been involved with various groups relating to children, including running the toddler group at St Aidan's Church Hall and the Morpeth 'BIBS' breast-feeding support group and of course, helping out at my children's schools. I love living in Morpeth and would like to help keep it a successful and attractive town, whilst retaining all of its history and character. Now that my children are more independent, I am getting more involved with my community and am ready for a new challenge!"
